Dive in into the magical world of the Bregenzerwald. Over 400 km of perfectly maintained and well signposted winter hiking trails will get you in the mood for some fresh winter air. From a relaxed stroll along the cross-country skiing trails to an experience tour with snowshoes to the high mountain region; anything is possible.
We especially recommend a hike to the Bergkristalhütte at an altitude of 1,200 metres. A well maintained trail leads from Au-Argenau to the Dürrenbachtal valley, which is surrounded by the imposing cliffsides of the Zitterklapfen. We recommend you to take a toboggan with you.
Our manager Christian offers weekly a taster course for a snowshoe hike for minimum two persons. You can borrow snowshoes and sticks for free at the hotel.
