Once, the Bregenzerwald was connected to Bregenz, the state capital of Vorarlberg, by 35 kilometres of railways. A massive rockfall near Kennelback eventually meant the end of the Bregenzerwaldbahn trains.
The Wälderbähnle museum trains are historical steam and diesel locomotives travelling along five kilometres of the former railway between Bezau and Schwarzenberg. Nostalgic fun for day trippers, holidayers, and railway fans.
