Lake Seewaldsee Fontanella
A walk to the Seewaldsee is worthwhile at any time of year and in any weather. It is surrounded by alpine pastures and the magnificent landscape is the perfect backdrop for some relaxation.
Close to the village of Fontanella, in the Großes Walsertal biosphere park, you can find a little aptly named mountain lake, the Seewaldsee. It is accessible from Fontanella/Säge in approximately 35 minutes. The trail leads past the hamlet of Garlitt to the Seewaldseetobel ravine. After crossing the impressive ravine, you will reach the farmhouses of Seewald, which were once much harder to access.
For a long time now, the lake is a popular destination for swimming and hiking, both in summer and winter. There is also a train that can take you to enjoy the swimming fun at this magnificent little spot in Seewald.
